What we do

The East of Scotland Gospel Partnership runs several events throughout the year to help us fulfil our aim of increasing the number of gospel churches.

These events include:

Quarterly Pastor's and Leader's Lunches - These are informal lunches at which people can gather together to eat together, share together and pray together. These are rich times of fellowship and it is exciting to see what God is doing across the city.

In This City (Church Planting Conference) - The first weekend in March is our annual Gospel Partnership Conference called 'in This City.' At our conference Church Planting is particularly showcased and emphasised. In recent years we have enjoyed content delivered by Matt Chandler, Steve Timmis, Kevin DeYoung, Ed Welch and Tim Chester, as well as from a number of local church pastors and leaders. The conference has consistently grown and last year we welcomed 450 delegates along for our Saturday conference.

Church Leadership Events - On occasion we have put on meals for church leadership teams. Gather elders and pastors together to inform about the partnership but also to address particular topics. We had an evening showcasing the partnership, had an evening looking at the subject of busyness and in the near future are going to run an evening looking at the why and how of church planting.

Whilst the events are great and bring real focus to the partnership, most of the partnership success is in building informal but deep relationships. There is a tremendous amount of good will across the partnership, regular prayer updates as well as the sharing of expertise and the loaning of resources.
